Intramurals highlights camaraderie, sportsmanship, and it is a perfect opportunity for the students to showcase their talents specially in the field of sports. It improves self-confidence, social relation, allows students ability to interact socially, and increases commitment to peers. Every one of us had experienced witnessing this worth awaited event that happens only ones in a school year. Practice here, practice there, and practice any where. A time when schools have become a playing ground where young athletes started their journey to become a pro-player in their own respective sports.
Intramurals open the war between different grade levels in every school, the freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. Wherein the balls, rackets, shuttlecocks, boards and other sports equipment are the main weapon used by the different players. During the big day, athletes cannot wait to apply the techniques and strategies they kept and planned during their own trainings. Everybody gets excited in watching their own team playing in the field. Loud noise coming from the expectators breaks the silence that surrounds the school. A noise that reminds everybody how nice it is to explore and enjoy the life of being a student, an athlete.
School is a place where students are being nurtured toward becoming responsible and productive members of society and molds students to become a better person. Schools celebrate intramurals because it fosters physical development among students. One of this school is the Ilocos Sur National High School, it conducted the School-based Intramurals for 3 days, from September 8 to 10,2019 where it was participated by students, teachers and parents. Many students that are into sports showcased their talents. To make a difference and uniqueness from the taste of usual school intramurals celebration, students that belong to different clubs who are not into sports built their own booths for additional recreation for the intramurals. In every game someone will win, someone will lose.
