World Heritage Cities Solidarity Day is being celebrated every September 8. It is not only Vigan City who celebrates this day also with the other cities all over the world that have heritage sites. This is a very special day in Vigan City where in it is commemorated with week-long festivities to strengthen the pride of the history and culture of Vigan. The long-term goal is preserving the 630 heritage structures back from 18th to 19th century. This structures is the well-preserved Spanish trading town that survived after the World War II. During this celebration it said that all 39 barangays including the students and NGO's will participate in the unique parade to dramatize the way of life of the Bigueno's during the time of Spanish Colonial up to the end of World War II, they walk around with a designated parade route and accompanied with a music.
